Myron van Brederode renews contract with AZ Alkmaar

AZ Alkmaar have announced Myron van Brederode’s contract renewal. The young striker had his contract renewed for another season.

In view of this, Myron van Brederode has a contract with AZ Alkmaar until the end of the 2026/27 season. This season, the striker has accumulated seventeen Eredivisie appearances for AZ Alkmaar. In ten matches, he was in the starting line-up. In addition, he also scored two goals. Myron van Brederode arrived at AZ Alkmaar in 2016 when he left the AFC (amateur club in the Netherlands). In May 2022, he made his first team debut for AZ Alkmaar against RKC Waalwijk.

“We are managing to help AZ Alkmaar. I hope we can keep up the good football that we are playing and we can continue to evolve. Personally, I hope I can score more goals, be important for the first team. It’s great to work at this club and I’m happy for everything that’s happening to me” said Myron van Brederode.

AZ Alkmaar director of football Max Huiberts is impressed with the young talent’s development.

“We saw that he evolved very quickly and now we have no doubt that he is a very important player in our squad. Last season we managed to extend his bond until the end of the 2025/26 season, but we wanted him to stay with us longer and now we have managed to further extend his bond” said Myron van Brederode.
