Information appeared from the French newspaper L’Équipe that PSV would have sent a proposal to buy Kamaldeen Sulemana. The 20-year-old Ghanaian was once of interest to Ajax but preferred to pursue his career in France with Rennes.
The Boeren would have sent a proposal of 15 million euros plus two million euros in bonuses. Southampton FC would also be in the running for the Ghanaian striker, but their bid would be €17m.
In France, Kamaldeen Sulemana has played thirteen games this season and in just two games has he managed to start in the starting line-up. In those thirteen games, Kamaldeen Sulemana scored only one goal.
PSV don’t have much time to bring reinforcements to Eindhoven. In recent days Boeren have lost Noni Madueke to Chelsea and Cody Gakpo to Liverpool.
Kamaldeen Sulemana joined Rennes from France at the start of last season for €17m. He is still linked with Stade Rennes until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Interesting to hear Earnie Stewart left that hot mess as US Soccer Sporting Director to become PSV’s technical director effective March 1. No wonder he turned down the KNVB role as rumored prior to the World Cup.
Really like Sulemana but if he couldn’t kick on at Rennes w/ their unbelievable conveyor belt of Academy talent, not sure if it will happen at PSV. Hopefully the change in scenery helps him. Don’t expect Babadi or Van Duiven to feature in the senior team til later this season or more likely next season.
